Dr Nick Bayley
Veterinary Surgeon
BVMBVS BVMedSci MRCVSNick graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2015 and joined the Willows Veterinary Group as a graduate working in a number of our practices gaining invaluable experience. Nick loves that every day at Birchwood is different and enjoys working with a small and dedicated team. He enjoys playing football and going to the gym in his spare time. He lives with his girlfriend and their crazy Jack Russell, Roo!

Faye Hampson-Jones
Registered Veterinary Nurse
RVNFaye qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2013 and previously worked at Beech House Vets for 6 years where she also trained and enjoyed gaining a variety of experience in a busy practice. She has been here from the day Birchwood Vets was opened with her colleague Paige. Faye has a passion for cats and is the clinics Cat Advocate for the ISFM Cat Friendly practice programme. Her weakness for feline friends means that at home, Faye has 4 cats – all black. Crazy Pinky who she hand reared from one week old, lovely Elsa who she adopted from Warrington Animal Welfare, Chester who loves to play fetch and sweet Wendy who is in love with Chester. In her spare time she likes to travel with her husband and takes part every year in RunDisney at Disneyland Paris.
Paige Dorney
Registered Veterinary Nurse
RVNPaige has been at Birchwood since it opened with her colleague Faye. She previously worked at our other practice Beech House Vets gaining a variety of experience working in a busy practice. She enjoys all aspects of the job with a particular interest in all things cat related. At home, Paige owns 18 year old brother and sister cat duo, O’Malley and Blossom, and Pepper a disabled Ragdoll. Paige adopted Pepper from Beech House after he was involved in an RTA. He suffers from nerve damage so has to have his bladder expressed twice daily. She likes to spend time with her fiancé, friends and family in her spare time.
Gemma Fairhurst
Student Veterinary Nurse
SVNGemma joined the team in March 2018, to enable her to pursue a career in her love of animals. She enjoys all aspects of her job but mainly giving all the animals a fuss! She enjoys spending time with her family and taking part in yearly tough mudders. She owns 6 cats, Joey, Monty, Blue, Tiffany, Archie and Teddy. Teddy became her newest addition when he was brought in as a stray at 4 weeks old.
Olivia Goodenough
Auxiliary Nurse
Olivia joined the Birchwood team in April 2021. She’s currently an auxiliary nurse but is aiming to start training towards her goal of being an RVN in the near future. She has 3 cats, Benji, Bruce and Scrag and is getting a new addition, a Labrador puppy called Sushi, soon. She loves hiking, watching sunsets, and being outdoors.
